ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Sandra-Jo Matusky
After writing her first fiction story in 1994, "The Riches of Westingham", her main character Alex - a female heroine trained in the martial arts, sparked the author's interest. In an effort to understand the confidence exhibited by the strong-willed women in her writing, Mrs. Matusky began training in the art of Tang Soo Do in 1999. After the incredible dream of Crystal Elderbee and The Land in 1996, the fantasy trilogy began once her short story, "The Flowers Never Die," was completed.
Matusky taught middle school art for fourteen years in Pasco County, Florida and observed her students' interest in literature & art. She holds two Bachelor degrees - one in Fine Arts and another in Art Education from the University of South Florida. Sandra-Jo Matusky combines the imagery of her fine arts background with the creativity of her dreaming awareness. The result is the fast-paced story of an exotic world, with her young protagonist trapped in her human faults and uncertain of her strengths.

Sandra-Jo Matusky has completed "Bringer of Balance ~ Book Two" which will be released Winter of 2008. Book Three begins with the next genertation of The Land and "Prince Orielle and the Wyvern War" is next in line to be published. She is presently working on a science fiction novel and is planning a new series of books based on a boy named Brenn who can travel in his dreams.
